Usage Guide

For Race Marshals

Opening the Tablet:

  1. Go to configured marker location (race control tower, pit lane, etc.)

  2. Press E when inside marker radius

  3. Tablet UI opens (NUI interface)

Available Actions:

  • Deploy Green Flag - Race start or clear track

  • Deploy Yellow Flag - Global caution

  • Deploy Yellow Sector 1/2/3 - Sector-specific caution

  • Deploy Red Flag - Stop session

  • Deploy Safety Car - Safety car period

  • Clear All Flags - Remove all active flags

  • Start Race Lights - Trigger F1 start sequence

  • Send Custom Message - Broadcast to drivers

Flag System

Green Flag:

  • Signals race start or track clear

  • Spawns green flag objects at all positions

  • Sends green flag notification to F1 drivers

Yellow Flag (Global):

  • Caution on entire circuit

  • Spawns yellow flag objects at all positions

  • No overtaking allowed

  • Drivers must slow down

Yellow Sector Flags:

  • Caution in specific sector only

  • Spawns flags at sector-specific positions (s1, s2, or s3)

  • Only affects that sector

Red Flag:

  • Session stopped

  • Spawns red flag objects at all positions

  • All drivers must stop and return to pits

Safety Car:

  • Deployed during dangerous conditions

  • Yellow flag notification style

  • Drivers must maintain position

Clear All Flags:

  • Removes all spawned flag objects

  • Clears current flag state

  • Use before deploying new flags

Starting Lights

Race Start Sequence:

  1. Marshal goes to starting lights marker

  2. Press E to activate

  3. F1-style light sequence begins:

    • 5 red lights illuminate one by one

    • Brief pause

    • Lights go out = RACE START

  4. Green flag automatically deployed

  5. Drivers receive race start notification
